Hello, I am Archaa Shrivastav!

I'm a diverse children's literature expert, who's read 1000+ children's books over my career and has evaluated them with a critical lens for authenticity and quality. I'm also a former first grade teacher who's an expert at crafting stories that hold children's attention and support their literacy development.

As a queer South Asian woman I bring my lived experience to telling stories about marginalized identities. I understand many of the nuances involved in telling these stories authentically without tokenizing or othering the characters. I also understand that I do not represent all marginalized voices and know when and how to seek outside expertise.
